Here I have some accessories that I will be toting around with me poolside when that day does come. For the first time in my adult life I’m living near a pool, and I have yet to actually take advantage of this fact. Have I used the awesome running trail behind my apartment? Yes. Have I been taking advantage of the Whole Foods they have in town? You bet-ya! But the pool? Not quite yet. For some reason going to the pool for me makes me think of a whole day spent damaging my skin and being lazy – something I’m not yet used to indulging in (and also coming from a girl with scars all up her arms from the removal of pre-cancerous moles – bummer central). It’s my goal to spend a couple hours next week soaking up a little vitamin D, and finding a shady spot to sit back and catch up on some reading I’ve been meaning to do. Frank’s new book is seriously burning a huge hole in my iPad right now! I also need an excuse to wear my new swim suit as something more than an undershirt – yes, that happens sometimes. Along with my trusty beverage of choice for summer time, I think I’m in for a treat very soon.
