TRAVERSER: french for — to pass, to cross, to traverse, to span.
ONE—Nat the Fat Rat posts always bring a smile to my face. While a small detail, I was really captured by these two photographs taken of Natalie on this recent post. She is the subject matter, yet out of focus. When I take photographs, like so many others, it’s usually the other way around. These just really struck me in a fun way. It’s a nice reminder to get out of the rut of doing something in the same way that you’re used to time and time again just because it works. Just because it works doesn’t mean that you can’t experiment and possibly find a new route to go.
TWO—If you’ve been following along with my creative journey at all, you know I love my lettering! Throughout my quest to master the art of calligraphy and lettering, I’ve experimented with so many new ways to create some of the things I feature here. Along that process I’ve become obsessed with reading about how others create their final lettering pieces. Here is a great tutorial on how the wonderful talented lady behind daily dishonesty creates her type. Also, it’s a rad project to follow along with, schmeriously.
THREE—There’s something about these flowers that had me oohing and ahhing and needing to copy, paste, and share them all over the inter-webs. Here you go.
