I’m so sure you’ve heard, but this weekend might have snuck up on you. The sad terrible awful day that google reader shuts down is upon us, and I don’t want to lose touch. I promise I have some fun in store, so let’s stick together, ok?
BLOGLOVIN — My new go-to! There is just something about easily being able to flip through all of the posts in your que in their originally designed format. As a designer who works with bloggers to create blogs that match their space to their content, you definitely want to show off those new posts the way they were meant to be shown off. Bloglovin allows you to do just that, within the ease of a reader. Can’t get enough!
FEEDLY — I know lots of people have been tooting feedly’s horn lately. I tried it, and while it does have a wonderful aesthetic and is great on the go, for some reason it hasn’t stuck on me. If you’re into it, by all means, let’s connect there as well.
Any other new readers that you think I should try out? Those are the only two that I’ve tested since the shut-down was announced. I know it’s really not the end of the world, but google reader was what really made it possible for me to fall in love with this world of blogging. It will really be missed. I’m almost never terribly sentimental, and then when I am it’s about an RSS platform — go figure.
Hope to see you all on the other side!
